Job Introduction

The role has accountability for overall administrative support for Laboratory Operations (LO) activities in designated Laboratories.

Main Responsibilities

  • To support the LO Team Manager to produce, maintain and communicate the 12 week and weekly work schedule for the designated Laboratory
  • Liaise with the facility integrated planner and assist in ensuring that the facility integrated plan remains up to date.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of briefings on plan changes to stakeholders
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of work packs to support delivery of required work
  • Facilitate the weekly sentencing meeting for all work requests.
  • To work closely with NNL Engineering Team to understand their facility EIMT requirements and integrate them into the 12 week plan.
  • To work closely with PMA and NNL Engineering Team to understand requirements to deliver customer funded work.
  • To administer the NNL Helpdesk function
  • Assist the Team Manager and Senior Supervisors in allocation of resources ensuring all work on the plan is covered.
  • Production of facility KPI data to support POCC delivery.
  • Act as secretary for various meetings, preparing agenda’s/minutes/action trackers.
  • Maintain leave and absence trackers on behalf of the Team Manager.
  • Carry out general administrative support for the Lab Ops team at designated site.
  • Provide cover to other sites as may be required from time to time.
  • Any other reasonable duties requested by Lab Ops management

The Ideal Candidate

Essential Skills/Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Drive and energy with a strong aptitude for problem solving
  • Conversant with IT Microsoft office work packages and must be excel proficient

Desirable Skills/Qualifications

  • Experience of NNL Work permissioning procedures desirable
  • Working knowledge of Laboratory Operations desirable
