The virtual work experience programme allows you to gain virtual access into our working environments providing more insight into the nuclear industry, NNL and different career paths.
Employers also look to see if you have any work experience as part of any job applications, so any experience you do have will help you in the process of securing a job.
We will be holding our virtual work experience programme for both year 11 and year 12 students for 5 days across the week of 26th – 30st July 2021

After the project work has been completed you will have the opportunity to present your findings and conclusions in front of a small audience. Talks will be given virtually by industry experts on a wide range of topics to help you learn more about our industry. You will also get to virtually experience tutorials and information sessions on NNL facilities and Labs. Additionally, you will have the chance to talk to graduates and apprentices whilst exploring the different career paths available to you across the nuclear industry. The experience will provide you with enhancing your skills in communication, presentation skills, a wider understanding of Nuclear safety and security as well as a solid understanding of what a week in the life of an NNL employee really is like.
To enhance your employability skills the week will also include employability advice and guidance to provide you with skills to apply more industry-based applications for future job seeking opportunities.
The virtual work experience programme is a duration of 1 week (Monday - Friday).
